Holiday Updos. When it comes to the Holiday hairstyles, one of the most popular looks that have always remained a favorite is the look of updos. Updos are a classic way to show styles, and sophistication. They can also be quite easy to create at home. Look below for step by steps tips on creating a side updo, as well as pictures to help inspire your look this holiday season.

How To Create A Side Updo

1. Brush your hair so it’s smooth and manageable
2. Part your hair on the right side and tease the hair right underneath the part, this will make sure that it doesn’t look flat
3. Bring all your hair to your left left side and pull your hair into a loose ponytail right behind your eat, at around ear-level
4. Right before securing your ponytail, only pull half your hair through so it forms a bun
5. Loosen the ponytail slightly then tighten again to add texture
6. Pull several small sections out to add body
7. Using bobby pins, pin random sections of your hair and the bun to your head until you get your desired level of volume
8. To make the bun a little more casual, pull some hair out of the bun
9. Spray some hairspray on your hair (be careful not to get it in your eyes!) then use your hands to pat down stray hairs and flyaways
10. Finally, pull out several face-framing layers or bangs
